GEF/SGP	Our Center forwarded a proposal to GEF/SGP for doing a study on POPs for Gaza Coastal Zone and Farming Areas. The proposal was rejected as GEF/SGP claims it does not work any more with University Institution although they used to fund universities. Projects dealing with POPs and determining their levels can only be done in facilities like our. Thus GEF/SGP position contradicts the priorites recently introduced for POPs. Our work would have shed a light on POPs in Palestine and its coastal ecosystem.
