Comments : Accreditation according to the international standard EN ISO/IEC 17025 has been achieved in 2001. The actual accreditation scope comprises about 120 test methods in the fields of chemical analysis. GMO testing and fuel quality controls. In 2004 the accreditation was modified and extended to a flexible scope for selected analytical methods (see list below Error! Reference source not found). The Umweltbundesamt GmbH is the first and only laboratory in Austria so far, which holds an accreditation with flexible scope. Accredited test methods with flexible scope, valid since 22 April 2004. - Test method No. 06.2 according L22 - HPLC with sophisticated detectors (DAD, elektrochemical detector, and similar); - Test method No. 07.1 according L22 - GC with standard detectors (FID, ECD, NPD and similar); - Test method No. 07.2 according L22 - GC - "hyphenated methods" (GC-MS, GC-FTIR and similar); - Test method No. 08.1 according L22 - AAS; - Test method No. 08.2 according L22 - ICP; - Test method No. 14.1 according L22 - Molekularbiologic methods - PCR.
